We’ve been in the business of helping people with their real estate needs here in Mammoth since 1965. All of our staff are experienced and helpful. Best of all, we live here because we love the area, and understand exactly what your needs are.

We can help you pick out just the right house or condominium best suited to your lifestyle, and discuss all of the pros and cons of both.

Life in Mammoth
Living in Mammoth is fun, and it’s really pretty easy too. We consider ourselves lucky to experience four distinct seasons. When the mountain streams run full, and summer birds and flowers return, life is fresh and reaffirms itself all over again. Summers here are, well, just Heaven! Fall is always a special time too, when aspen leaves turn orange, and grasses golden, there is a hint of the approaching winter in the air. Winter is the season when most first discover Mammoth. When the snow begins to fall one’s thoughts turn to linking perfect turns in fresh powder on crystal clear azure days.

With the coming of winter you will appreciate a well designed home that offers shelter and comfort from all that Mother Nature can provide. The Town of Mammoth Lakes road crews perform an outstanding job of snow removal on the city streets, so making it to work on time, or getting the kids off to school, is probably easier in Mammoth than in Southern California. There are, however, certain important considerations in choosing a home in snow country that you may not be aware of now, but will certainly appreciate once you establish residence here. We would like to help you make the right choices.

Many factors come into play when designing a new home or purchasing one already built. Some features, like exposure to the low lying winter sun, the pitch of a roof, or the slope of a driveway, can make all the difference in the world. Current building codes in Mammoth require all newly constructed properties to meet stringent insulation factors. The forced air furnace utilizing propane as a fuel is the most popular choice in new construction. All properties constructed after 1978 have dual-pane windows and are generally well insulated. Not all homes and condominiums in Mammoth have forced air heating units, but most will have wood burning appliances in addition to electric heat. When fireplaces and wood burning stoves are upgraded to current EPA standards as now required, any home can be very warm and comfortable.

Building a New Home
What if you can’t find the perfect home already built? No problem, we can guide you through the process of having a new home built just for you, step by step. Mammoth has several highly regarded building contractors that can build your dream home on a dream lot. Let us find you the lot, introduce you to a builder, and arrange everything from construction financing to moving in.
